my story

I started my career in painting quite late in life, and from the beginning it felt more like a calling than a hobby; more of a must than a maybe. 

Painting gives me the ultimate avenue for self-expression: whether I'm feeling "real" or abstract, loose or precise, I can translate that to a canvas or board or paper.

I use whatever medium seems best for the subject, whether that's oil and cold wax abstracts, waves in pastel, or some combination of media. I love painting on panels of wood, linen, or copper, which lend a different "vibe" to each completed piece. 

I love movement, whether in the water or skies or figures or flowers, and aim to celebrate that energy in my work.
